Hi, I’m Karin (not Karen—think Corrine), a proud DMV native, retired braider, and cosmetology student with a passion for transforming hair and helping others embrace their natural beauty.

I’ve been styling hair since I was 15, specializing in braided styles such as box braids, knotless braids, Marley twists, passion twists, and more. For me, hair has always been more than just a look—it’s been a personal journey of identity, self-expression, and healing.

Growing up, my hair felt more like a burden than a blessing. After experiencing countless painful and disempowering moments as a child, I began doing my own hair at an early age, and I made a promise to myself: one day, I would create the kind of safe, loving space I never had. A space where people feel empowered to care for their hair, understand it, and love it as it is.

Today, I’m evolving my craft—shifting from a focus on braiding to luxury hair care with an emphasis on healthy hair, including natural textures, extensions, and protective styles. As I continue my education in cosmetology, I’m actively seeking opportunities to deepen my skills in cutting, coloring, and expanding my knowledge of hair and scalp conditions.

The most rewarding part of being a hairstylist is witnessing the transformation—not just in how my clients look, but in how they feel. I believe that getting your hair done should be a healing, affirming experience. I prioritize patience, attentiveness, and reflective listening during every appointment, ensuring each client feels seen, safe, and beautiful—because hair is simply an enhancement of the beauty that already lives within you.
